The Mazda MX-5 NB is the second model of the roadster proposed by Mazda. Its conception begins in 1994, when the NA selling was slowing down.
This model is presented at the car trade exhibition of Tokyo in 1997. It's commercialized from 1998 to 2005. The Mazda MK2 has a more evolving equipment and its design was a little bit changed : the retractable lights aren't present anymore like the hood bossing.
This roadster has two motorisations: the 1.6l of 110 hp and the 1.8l of 140 hp. This last one was changed in 2001, in order to reach the 146 hp to 7000 tr/min.
In 1999, during the 10th anniversary of the brand, a version has been produced, it's called 10 AE. 7500 copies were created; this model has a 6 speed automatic gearbox.
