Details about : CO2 flue gas leak detector TOOLATELIER

Diagnosing a cylinder head gasket is difficult. To save precious time, this TOOLATELIER CO2 detector is ideal for detecting combustion gas leaks in the cooling circuit.

The principle is simple: thanks to a chemical reaction, it's easy to detect the presence of CO2 in the coolant and, at the same time, a cracked cylinder head gasket or a cracked cylinder head.

How does the CO2 detector work?

The TB00996 test liquid is poured into the top and bottom of the detector. (Limit symbolized by a line for max. filling).
After warming up the vehicle with the expansion tank "open", position the tool in place of the plug. Use the rubber bulb to pump air out of the system. You'll be able to tell whether your coolant contains CO2 by the change in color (blue or green/yellow).

Head gasket leak detectionfluid is not supplied with the tool. You'll find it under reference TB00996 . It can be reused after each use.
