A good tool is half the job done. A bad tool means a stripped screw, approximate timing or a lost Saturday afternoon. That is the thought behind ToolAtelier, the tool brand developed by Mecatechnic. Its ambition: to offer professional-quality tools that are accessible to enthusiasts and trade mechanics alike.
ToolAtelier is the tool brand of Mecatechnic, an auto parts specialist since 1983. Its name says it all: these tools are inspired directly by the real needs of the workshop, not by a theoretical catalogue.
The range covers three areas: cars, motorbikes and heavy goods vehicles. It includes everyday hand tools, specialist tools for technical work and complete garage equipment.
The common thread is simple: tools that last and perform well every time you use them. Whether you are restoring a youngtimer or doing routine maintenance, the goal is the same: to work accurately without damaging the part.
Before the specialist tools, there are the ones you pick up for every job. ToolAtelier offers them in complete sets and as individual pieces.
This is where ToolAtelier makes the difference. Some operations are impossible, or risky, without the dedicated tool.
An efficient workshop is also a well-organised space. ToolAtelier offers everything you need to fit it out from A to Z: roller cabinets and workbenches for storage, creepers and mats for working on the ground, and workshop stools.
For restorers, two pieces of equipment change everything. The blasting cabinet (up to 220 litres, double door) cleanly strips small parts before painting. The mobile tilting lift, adjustable to three sizes, lets you tilt a car of up to 1.5 tonnes to reach the underside, without a pit or a vehicle lift.
Where to start? Our advice by profile
There is no need to buy everything at once. Here is the order in which we recommend equipping yourself.
One habit in every case: for a timing operation, always check that the timing tool set matches your vehicle's engine code.
From the first socket set to complete garage equipment, ToolAtelier supports every step of your journey as a mechanic. Tools designed to last, selected by a team that has known mechanics for more than forty years.
