- 2.0 115hp (AEG, APK, AQY, AVH, AZG,AZJ, BEJ, BER, BEV, BHP, CBPA)
- 2.3 170hp (AQN)

For New Beetle(1Y),
with manual gearbox:
- 1.6 102hp (BFS)
- 1.8 Turbo 150hp (AWU, AWV, BKF)
- 1.9 TDi 101hp and 105hp (AXR, BSW)
- 2.0 115hp (AZJ, BDC, BEV, BGD) This sprocket or "carrot" is housed in the gearbox
