Depending on your VW's carburetion set-up (year / carburettor / original or reproduction pipe / dynamo / alternator), the carburettor can sometimes touch the dynamo or alternator, as the distance between them varies.
This specially designed spacer raises the carburettor by 26 mm and keeps it away from the dynamo or alternator, which solves the problem in most cases.
