Chrome-plated M8 bumper bolt for VW Beetle 1200 / 1300 / 1500 (from 1968)

This specialised screw, with its flat, domed head and chrome finish, ensures a secure hold whilst preserving the original appearance of your classic car. Designed to withstand external wear and tear, it is used to secure bumper strips to their fittings or bodywork mounts on Beetle models fitted with original profiled or square bumpers (Type 1200 from 1974 onwards and 1200/1300/1500 models from the 1968 model year).

To preserve the shine of the chrome and prevent any risk of premature rust spots, apply a small amount of neutral grease to the thread before tightening, then clean the head with a clean microfibre cloth after fitting.

Dimensions: 8 x 15 mm

Check: Once the screw has been tightened to the correct torque on the fitting, check that the domed head lies flat against the bumper profile without marking the surrounding chrome.

- 1300, 1500, 1302, 1303 from 08/1967.

- 1200 from 08/1973.
