036 911 335 A : Freewheel for Volkswagen Golf 1 and Passat B2

The freewheel is an essential component of the starter system: it ensures the transmission of torque from the starter to the engine while protecting it from reverse drive once the engine is running. This new part is compatible with the Volkswagen Golf 1 and the Volkswagen Passat B2, two iconic models that are today the subject of careful attention from classic car enthusiasts. Its replacement is recommended as soon as signs of wear or slipping appear during starting, in order to preserve the integrity of the starter and engine. A freewheel in good condition contributes to the reliability and longevity of these historic automobiles.
