LOCTITE SF 7200 joint stripper is an aerosol product designed to remove cured joints and traditional joints from metal joint faces before re-applying a new joint. Its action consists in softening them in 10 to 15 minutes, thus reducing the need for intense scraping operations. This CFC-free solvent-based cleaner is suitable for most surfaces, includingaluminum and other soft metals. Once applied, it covers the joint with a foam, preventing it from running out of the desired area, while allowing it to work for the required time. Your surfaces will be perfectly clean, with a minimum of scraping and a reduced risk of damaging joint surfaces.
It can also be used to easily remove adhesives, hardened oils and greases, scale, paint and varnish deposits, etc. from joint faces and metal surfaces.
WARNING: Its use is not recommended on plastics, as this product attacks paints!

Recommendations for use:
- Protect painted surfaces, as this product attacks paint.
- Hold the aerosol upright, about 20-30cm from the surface to be treated, and apply as thick a coat as possible.
- Leave to act for 10 to 15 minutes to soften anaerobic joints, and 30 minutes for silicone joints.
- Remove the old, softened sealant with a spatula and simply wipe or clean the surface (repeat if necessary).
- Before applying the new joint compound, clean surfaces with a suitable cleaner such as LOCTITE 7063 (order no. UB25018 separately).
