The oil strainer is an essential element of the lubrication circuit: placed in the oil sump, it traps impurities before the oil is drawn in by the pump and distributed to the engine. On a classic vehicle, its replacement during a restoration or thorough overhaul helps protect the engine durably against premature wear. A clogged or deteriorated strainer can cause a drop in oil pressure with serious consequences. This new part allows the lubrication circuit to be returned to a condition compliant with original specifications.
