Brake Distributor for Golf 2

The brake distributor or brake regulator is a part fitted to the rear axle on VW Golf 2 and Jetta 2.

Its role is to manage hydraulic pressure to the rear brake system.

The masses acting on the front and rear of your Volkswagen Golf 2 or Jetta 2 are not the same, depending on the vehicle's speed and load.

For example, when braking hard, all the weight will be transferred to the front, so it's important to reduce braking pressure towards the rear to prevent the wheels from locking.

Brake calipers must be replaced if leaks are visible, or if inefficiency is revealed during roadworthiness testing.
