Complete timing belt kit and small-roller water pump for the Porsche 944 2.5 (1982–1986)

Complete timing belt kit and water pump (small pulley version) for the Porsche 944 Phase 1:

The kit contains:

- the ContiTech timing belt

- the ‘ ’ timing belt tensioner pulley

- the smooth timing belt idler pulley (32 mm)

- the balance shaft belt

- the toothed balance shaft belt tensioner pulley

- the smooth balance shaft belt idler pulley

- the water pump (32 mm pulley version) and its seal

- The balance shaft and camshaft oil seals

There are two crankshaft oil seals on the oil pump for the 944 Phase 1:

• 1 for models from 1982 to 1983, measuring 38 x 55 x 7 mm
• 1 for models from 1984 to 1985, measuring 38 x 52 x 7 mm, with part numbers M 41E 09030> M 41E 20780> M 43E 14859> M 43E 21784>

This oil seal must be ordered separately if you decide to replace it; please refer to the production year of your 944 (please note: the date of first registration is often several months different from the production date), or, failing that, check your engine code if you are unsure whether it is the original one.

Please note that the left balance shaft and camshaft oil seals are identical (30x47 mm), whilst the right balance shaft oil seal is different (30x48 mm)

Your Porsche may have had a water pump upgrade; there is a version with a small timing belt idler pulley mounted on it, 32 mm in diameter, and another with a 46 mm idler pulley. Their mounting points on the water pump are therefore different.
