Convertible top transmission gear for Porsche 986 Boxster (2000-2004) - left side

Repair gear for the left electric convertible top motor for Porsche Boxster 986 :

- 986 2.7 Boxster - 220 hp (M96.22) from 2000 to 2002
- 986 2.7 Boxster - 228 hp (M96.23) from 2003 to 2004
- 986 3.2 Boxster S - 252 hp (M96.21) from 2000 to 2002
- 986 3.2 Boxster S - 260 hp (M96.24) from 2003 to 2004
- 986 3.2 Boxster S550 - 266 hp (M96.24) from 2003 to 2004

This set includes :
- A brass gear
- A grease packet

A current failure on the Boxster is the electric soft top blocked with the warning light on.
This is sometimes the handbrake switch, or even tie-rod ball joint (RS16516).

The other possibility is the breakage of the top "gearbox" pinion.
There is a right and a left gearbox (or motor).

Porsche makes the costly replacement of the entire part.
This pinion gives you the possibility of simply replacing what breaks : the gear.
