Foot adapter for rectangular mirror on Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia before 1967

This mounting foot adapter was designed to allow the installation of a rectangular-type mirror, from recent models, on a Volkswagen Beetle or a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia manufactured before July 1967. Its internal thread pitch corresponds to the large screw present on the mirrors of Beetles and Karmann Ghias produced after July 1967, thus replacing the integrated threaded hole in the door from 1968 onwards. The fixing is carried out on the bodywork by drilling three small holes; the base gasket and the three fixing screws are supplied with the kit. A practical solution for restorers wishing to equip their classic vehicle with a period-correct mirror.
