Product description

MECATECHNIC rear brake distributor for Volkswagen Passat B1 Type 32 2 or 5-door sedan and Variant with drum brakes only:

- All models gasoline 1.3L to 1.6L and diesel 1.5L from 05/1973 to 07/1980

WARNING: Not suitable for models with disc brakes!

Located in front of the left rear wheel, the brake distributor (also called compensator or pressure regulator) is used to reduce braking pressure on the rear wheels when the load is transferred to the front or when the trunk is heavily loaded. If the rear wheels are relieved when braking hard, or if the trunk is heavily loaded, there's a risk of the rear wheels locking up and losing braking efficiency. Its valve reduces rear pressure when it becomes too high (preset value) to maintain perfect control and stability of the vehicle.

Indispensable for keeping your car on the road safely, and no longer available on the market over the years, this part is an exclusive , high-quality MECATECHNIC remanufactured in Europe. Each distributor is fully tested and calibrated in the factory, offering the same rigorous quality as the original equipment part, according to strict specifications.
