Metal clip for wide body trim strip for the VW Beetle (up to 07/1966)

This corrosion-resistant spring steel fixing clip is specially designed to secure the wide trim strips and decorative mouldings fitted to vintage Beetles (models manufactured before August 1966). It fits directly into the hole in the bodywork and clamps onto the inside of the chrome or aluminium trim strip. Essential for a full paint restoration or for replacing rusted, bent or broken clips.

To avoid scratching freshly applied paintwork when fitting wide trim strips, ensure you use plastic or rubber sealing washers under each metal clip. This ensures a perfect hold and protects the bodywork from water ingress.

Check: Insert the central part of the clip into the hole in the bodywork fitted with its rubber seal, then apply even pressure to the trim strip until it clicks into place.

Sold individually; 40–50 required per vehicle.

Suitable for Volkswagen Beetles up to July 1966.
