Original style DANSK painted steel exhaust silencer for Porsche 901 (1964-1965)

This DANSK exhaust silencer in painted steel is an identical reproduction of the original silencer fitted to the first 911s produced in 1964 and, incidentally, called 901s until 1965.

It takes into account the special features that were present at the time, such as the two-layer steel architecture with heat shield, the angular cut of the tailpipe, the 57mm diameter tailpipe and its polished finish.

The silencer is made from 1.5mm thick sheet metal. The heat shield is made from 1mm-thick sheet metal. Finally, the flanges are 10mm thick.

The whole unit is coated with a ceramic thermal protection paint.
