This repair panel , located inside the outer rocker panel at the junction with the floor, is one of the most frequently corroded parts on the Golf 2. It is delivered bare and requires bodywork preparation. Before it is finally welded to the body, it is essential to carry out a blank assembly in order to adapt, prepare, treat and protect it(anti-gravelling, hollow body wax) with the aim of preventing corrosion from reappearing.

This bodywork part is called "adaptable" because it does not come from the manufacturer.
