EMPI white spare wheel cover for the VOLKSWAGEN Bay Window Combi (08/1967–07/1979)

EMPI white spare wheel cover for the VW Bay Window Combi from August 1967 to July 1979.

A spare wheel cover is a car accessory designed to cover a vehicle’s spare wheel. This accessory serves several purposes:

Aesthetics: The spare wheel cover is primarily used for aesthetic reasons. It conceals a spare wheel that may be considered unsightly, particularly when visible at the front or rear of a vehicle.

Protection: It protects the spare wheel from the elements (dust, dirt, water, etc.), which can extend the lifespan of the wheel and its components, such as the tyre and valve.

Preservation: A wheel cover helps to minimise potential damage to the spare wheel by protecting it from weather conditions and UV rays, which can degrade the tyre material over time.

Maintenance: By protecting the spare wheel, it helps to keep it clean, making it easier to use when needed. A well-maintained and clean wheel is easier to handle when changing a tyre.

Security: A spare wheel cover can also serve to conceal the spare wheel for security reasons, thereby preventing it from becoming a target for thieves who might seek to steal it.

In summary, a spare wheel cover combines aesthetic and practical benefits, protecting and enhancing the appearance of your vehicle whilst contributing to the longevity and functionality of the spare wheel.

This spare wheel cover does not cover the rear of the tyre (the side facing the bodywork)

Suitable for 15-inch wheels with original tyre size.
