What is this tool used for?

It is used to open the shoes of the drums and hold them open when removing and installing the brake cylinder. This will leave you free to work without having to remove the complete braking system.

Opening of shoes: 25 to 142 mm
3/8" square drive and 17 mm hex, for use with a wrench or ratchet. Professional use

Le cache qui sert de guide au système d'écartement ,'est pas tenu à l'extrémité et s'ouvre sous la pression. Vu le prix du produit, c'est abuser. Bonne idée à la base, mais pas aboutie, traitée à l'économie, et vendue une blinde.
