INFORMATION: Before the restyling in August 1987, the VW logo and VOLKSWAGEN emblem were on the left of the rear panel. On the right is the golf emblem. The lettering of the word "golf" is straight.

The lettering on the rear emblems was white on certain special series marketed as limited editions.
