Details about : Valve cover and oil pan gaskets - 117 ml - Loctite 5923

LOCTITE MR 5923 is a low-viscosity liquid sealant at specially designed to seal rocker covers and engineoil sumps . Once applied, it dries slowly, transforming after evaporation into a flexible, tacky film. Drying time varies according to temperature, humidity and clearance. Typical applications include pre-cut rigid or flexible joint assemblies.
It resists water, ethylene glycol, petrol, engine oils, greases and transmission fluids.

Advantages :
- Sealant remains flexible after drying.
- Ideal for assembling parts after repair.
- Low viscosity.

- Seal type: rigid or flexible
- Operating temperature : -54°C to +204°C
- Oil resistance: good
- Water/glycol resistance: good
- Capacity: 117ml

Directions for use:
- Remove all old product from joint surfaces.
- Clean and dry surfaces with a clean solvent.
- Remove the cap and apply with the applicator pad.
- If used as an additional seal: spread the product evenly with a spatula on one side of the joint and position it on the assembly. Coat the second side of the joint and assemble the parts (its slow drying gives more time to these operations).
- Assembly is operational within 4 hours, and full hardening takes place 24 hours later.
- The product can be removed from metal surfaces using isopropyl alcohol (if the product has been dry for a long time or has been subjected to high temperatures, cover the joint with alcohol and leave it to soften overnight).
