Bodywork seals: sealing and protection for classic cars

Bodywork seals play an essential role in preserving and sealing your classic car. Whether it's a Porsche 911, a Mercedes SL R107 or a BMW 02 Series, these components provide protection against water ingress, dust and vibrations, while preserving the authentic charm of your classic car.

Why choose body gaskets for classic cars?

The body gaskets available from Mecatechnic are designed to fit iconic models such as the Mercedes Pagode, Jaguar E-Type and Porsche 356, guaranteeing a perfect seal and original finish. High-quality materials, such as soft rubber, extend the life of these parts while respecting period standards.

When should you replace your bodywork seals?

Over time, bodywork seals can dry out, crack or lose their elasticity. These signs of wear, often seen on windscreen or boot seals, can lead to water ingress and damage to the bodywork. We recommend that you inspect them regularly and replace them as soon as any visible damage appears.

How do you install your bodywork seals properly?

To install the seals, the mounting surface must be carefully cleaned to ensure optimum adhesion. Use suitable tools and follow the specific instructions for each model. For example, fitting a rear window seal for a BMW E21 requires particular care to avoid deformation and ensure a perfect seal.
