Cardan shaft bellows for Citroën 2CV van

Cardan shaft bellows: essential protection for classic cars

Cardan shaft bellows are essential for preserving the integrity of cardan shafts and ensuring their durability. Specially designed for iconic models such as the Renault 4, the Peugeot 205 and the Audi 80, these parts guarantee watertightness and prevent premature wear of the mechanical joints. Mecatechnic has the right selection for your classic vehicles.

What is the purpose of a universal joint bellows?

• Protect: The bellows prevent dust, water and dirt from entering the universal joint mechanism.
• Lubricate: It retains the grease needed for smooth, silent operation.
• Extend service life: A bellows in good condition reduces wear on internal parts.

How do I choose the right drive shaft bellows?

When selecting a universal joint bellows, it is essential to consider the following criteria:

• Compatibility: Refer to the dimensions and vehicle models, such as the bellows for the Peugeot 205 (08/1983-09/1998) or the one for the Audi 80 (diameter 90 mm).
• Position: Check whether the bellows is designed for the wheel or gearbox side.
• Material quality: Nitrile rubber is preferable for better durability and resistance.
