Rubber inspection/dust cap for brake drums on VW Beetle, Karmann, Type 3 & 181 models

This soft elastomer rubber plug, which is weather- and high-temperature-resistant, fits directly into the inspection holes on the rear brake drum or brake flange. It blocks access to the brake lining adjustment knobs when they are not in use. By preventing dirt, rainwater and road debris from seeping into the system, it stops the braking mechanisms from seizing up and ensures your brake shoes remain correctly adjusted over the long term.

Make sure you clean the area around the inspection hole thoroughly before inserting it to ensure a perfect fit and a watertight seal.

Check: Once you have adjusted your brake linings, press the cap in the centre until you feel the groove engage with the flange plate.
