KERSCHER steering rack for VW Beetle up to 07/1965

This KERSCHER steering rack is of German quality. This kit allows the installation of a rack and pinion steering. If it is mounted on the steering box mounts, it requires mechanical skills and precise welding, mainly at the steering column level. This rack is delivered with the necessary spacers and seals to slightly raise the tank of the oldest models. Delivered with homologation documents. !!!Not suitable for narrowed front axles!!! Even on an original front axle, it is possible that the rack comes into contact with the left front suspension shock absorber. There are then two possibilities: 1- Remove the rack protection and add an additional stop of 20mm to the 15mm Teflon stop in the rack. 2- Shorten the rack rod and its rubber protection sleeve.
