IMS single-row bearing kit + Tools for Porsche 987 Boxster (2005)

Kit comprising the RS13584 tools + the RS91160 single-row IMS bearing. To facilitate fitting the bearing and ensure it remains undamaged, it is strongly recommended that you chill it beforehand in a freezer for 2 hours and, in addition, heat (to 120 degrees) the area of the engine block where the IMS will be fitted. It is also essential to ensure that there is no oil in the intermediate shaft tube before fitting the bearing! Centrifugal force, combined with residual oil, creates a counter-force that will cause the bearing to fail prematurely.

This product must be fitted by a professional with the necessary qualifications and experience in working on Porsches; proof of this may be required in the event of a warranty claim. The manufacturer’s warranty will only apply upon presentation of a duly completed form that conclusively rules out any installation error.
