Master cylinder ATE / FTE for VOLKSWAGEN Combi Bay Window with brake booster (08/1967-07/1979)

The master cylinder is responsible for converting the pressure applied to the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure that acts on the wheel brakes. In other words, it is the central element that allows "pushing" the brake fluid into the lines and wheel cylinders to activate the brakes. In some installations, this master cylinder may require a specific cap to be placed at the end. This ATE / FTE model is drilled and tapped to receive a switch or a cap (not included).
