Power-assisted steering for Kombi T2 Bay Window 74 ->79

This electric power steering kit LITESTEER includes a complete steering column to replace the original, an electronic control unit, various sensors, and an installation manual.
A reference point for the Combi since 1974, to check before ordering:
- the ignition switch support is made of plastic.
- the steering wheel tightening nut on the column is 24 mm.

This new column is equipped with an electric motor that assists the rotation movements, the same system that equips some modern new vehicles.
An electronic control unit manages the level of assistance to provide based on the engine speed and the vehicle speed, the electric assistance decreases as speed increases.
In case of electrical failure or low battery, like when the ignition is off, the "classic" steering remains 100% functional: you drive safely!
The steering box, the links, and the pivots must be in good working condition, the kit does not compensate for any play in the steering, the new column connects to the steering wheel and the original box, without modification of the vehicle, no cutting or welding.
