Cork rocker cover gasket for the VOLKSWAGEN Combi Split Brazil (1957–1975)

This gasket ensures a perfect seal between the cylinder head and the rocker cover on your air-cooled engine (Type 1, Type 4 or CT engines). Designed to withstand high temperatures and engine oil spray, it prevents frequent oil leaks along the exhaust system and the lower engine block. Replacement is strongly recommended whenever valve clearance is adjusted or the engine oil is changed.

Carefully clean the sealing surface on the cylinder head and rocker cover before fitting. Fit the gasket completely dry.

Replace it every time the rocker cover is removed.

Check: After reassembly and tightening the retaining clips (or brackets), ensure that the gasket is correctly centred in the groove of the rocker cover without excessive protrusion or pinching.
