Lateral crankshaft clearance adjustment shim, thickness 0.24 mm for Type 4 & WB engines

The lateral clearance shim is an important part of the engine, used to adjust the axial clearance of the crankshaft, i.e. the lateral movement of the crankshaft in its housing. This axial play must be kept within very precise limits, as too much play can lead to premature wear, excessive vibration or engine failure, while too little play can result in excessive friction.

Suitable for :

- Type 4: 1700, 1800, 2000

- Water-Boxer: 1900, 2100
