Product description

Kit including tools + the new IMS bearing for: thread diameter in M8 only > check that you do not have the one with the M12 thread which requires engine disassembly (If in doubt about the production date of your 987, you can contact us to verify with the chassis number): This bearing with 100% ceramic balls is stronger than the original. It better withstands friction with a high-temperature grease designed to last up to 180° C. The lubricant of the bearing as well as the housing seal, offer the best quality available for this use, in order to ensure the reliability of your engine. To facilitate the installation of the bearing and preserve its integrity, it is strongly recommended to cool it beforehand, in a freezer for 2 hours and additionally, to heat (to 120 degrees) the area of the engine block that will receive the IMS. It is also imperative to ensure that there is no oil in the intermediate shaft tube before installing the bearing! The centrifugal force, combined with residual oil, creates a counterweight that will prematurely destroy the bearing.
