Speedometer gears 48 and 12 teeth for BMW Series 3 E30

On the BMW Series 3 E30 (saloon, coupé, cabriolet, Touring, Baur and M3 E30), the internal mechanism of the speedometer is driven by two plastic gears: a large gear with 48 teeth and a small gear with 12 teeth. Over time, these gears can wear, crack or lose teeth, causing a speedometer stuck at zero, an erratic needle or a mileage that no longer increments correctly. This gear set allows you to restore normal speedometer operation when restoring or servicing this classic model.
