Spare parts BMW Serie 3 - E30

It's the one everyone mentions. The E30 embodies BMW's perfect balance: rear-wheel drive, a finely tuned chassis, and a silky-smooth 6-cylinder engine. And above all, the M3, born for homologation, redefined the sports sedan. Compact, precise, and vibrant. It speaks directly to the driver. After it, everything became heavier, more filtered. The benchmark of the 80s.

Launched in 1982, the new BMW 3 Series, known as the E30, is the successor to the E21. With 2 or 4 doors, saloon, estate or convertible, petrol or diesel, no fewer than 40 different versions of the model were offered. In 1989, a sporty, body-built version was added under the name M3 (M for Motorsport). Initially produced with the aim of competing with Mercedes-Benz in the German DTM championship and Group A races, it eventually (and fortunately) fell victim to its own success and was produced on a large scale (18,000 units). Its raging 4-cylinder, 16-valve 2.3 (195bhp) then 2.5 (from 215 to 238bhp) and high-performance chassis made the M3 E30 the perfect machine for winning in competition. In 12 years, more than 2,300,000 BMW E30s were sold. Apart from the M3, the most sought-after models today are convertibles and 2.5-litre coupes.
