The change between mechanical and hydraulic tappets took place during the year 1985 (chassis "F"). Some engines had mechanical tappets until ->1987. Please note that it is possible that a newer engine or cylinder head (with hydraulic tappets) has replaced your original engine, so it is advisable to check your setup before ordering.
