For the F30/F31 3 Series (2012–2019), the table distinguishes fourteen engines. Petrol versions range from the 136 hp N13B16 316i to the M3 and its 431 hp twin-turbo S55B30 six-cylinder; from 2015, the B38, B48 and B58 take over. On the Common Rail diesel side, the N47D20, then B47D20 four-cylinders cover the 316d to 325d, and the N57D30 powers the 330d and 335d, the latter in twin-turbo form. Check whether your 3 Series dates from before or after 2015 before ordering parts.
