Oil drain seal kit for VW Type 1 engines (Beetle, Combi, Karmann)

This oil drain gasket kit contains all the components required to drain the oil sump of your Aircooled Type 1 engine in accordance with best practice. It includes the two paper gaskets surrounding the oil strainer, as well as the sealing washer for the centre bolt or the decorative plug. Essential for preventing drip leaks from under the engine after each routine service.

When changing the oil, clean the drain plate and the oil strainer thoroughly. Never reuse old gaskets: the paper gaskets and the copper washer for the centre bolt must be replaced with every oil change to prevent seepage beneath the engine block.

Check: Tighten the drain plug to the recommended torque (approximately 7 Nm), tightening the nuts in a cross-pattern to avoid warping the plug and to compress the paper gaskets evenly.
