Product description

LOCTITE 574 Joint Sealant (50ml) seals low clearance joints between rigid or machined metal surfaces or joint faces . The product cures when confined in the absence of air between metal surfaces with low clearance. It is resistant to low pressure immediately after assembly. This instajoint is mainly used when assembling gearboxes, engine blocks, etc. The thixotropic nature of the paste prevents migration or creep of the product after application.

WARNING: This product is not recommended for use on plastics, especially thermoplastics!

ADVANTAGES :

- Single component, quick and easy to apply.
- Produces an instant low-pressure seal once fully cured.
- Excellent resistance to water and glycol.
- High resistance to oil.
- Operating temperature range : -55 to 150°C
- Chemical compound: Methacrylate
- Fixing time on steel: 15 min
- Fixing time on aluminum: 45 min

USE COUNCIL:
- For best performance, surfaces must be clean and grease-free.
- The product is designed for joint surfaces with a gap of up to 0.25 mm.
- Apply the product as a bead by hand or by silk-screen printing on one of the surfaces.
- Low pressure (<0.5 MPa) can be used to test the seal immediately after assembly and before curing.
- Sealing surfaces should be tightened as soon as possible after closing, to avoid the risk of forming excess thicknesses.
