Silicon bellows intake manifold gasket for VOLKSWAGEN Beetle, Combi, Transporter

Silicone sleeve for connecting and sealing the center pipe to the side intake manifolds.

This allows air to flow properly to the engine cylinders for combustion. Over time, the sleeve can deteriorate due to heat, vibration, chemicals or humidity. A damaged sleeve can lead to air leakage, which affects engine operation, reducing intake efficiency and resulting in loss of performance.

As with other engine components, it's important to check the condition of the sleeve regularly, especially if symptoms such as power loss or suspicious noises occur.
