The table lists nine versions of the BX built between 1982 and 1994: five petrol and four diesel. On the petrol side, the range runs from the XY engine, later replaced by the TU3, through the XU9 and XU9J2 of the BX 19 and 19 GT, up to the turbocharged XU8T of the BX 4 TC, the Group B version. The diesels use XUD7 and XUD9 engines, naturally aspirated or turbo. Outputs range from 60 to 200 hp, all with belt-driven timing.
