Keeping the oil at the right temperature is essential. By simply replacing your original oil level dipstick with this oil temperature sensor and reconnecting it to the original oil pressure switch using the kit supplied with instructions and double plug, you can now monitor your engine's oil temperature without having to use an additional dipstick on the dashboard, with all the associated connection problems (extra wires to run, installation of a wiring harness, etc.). Your oil warning light will now perform two functions: it will continue to function as an oil pressure warning light as before, but it will also become an oil temperature warning light!

Under normal conditions, your light will remain off.

- If the light starts flashing, your engine temperature is getting too high (around 108°C) and it's time to take your foot off the accelerator to lower the engine speed or take a break.

- If the light comes on continuously, your engine temperature is definitely too high (around 115°C) and you must stop the engine to cool it down.

6 or 12 volt operation It is essential to adjust the height of the sensor plug with the original dipstick to get the correct oil level information.

Pass the wire behind the dynamo and ignition foot, disconnect the wire from the original oil pressure sensor, connect the new wire to the pressure sensor with the double lug and reconnect the original pressure wire.

And that's it! Your warning light on the dashboard now plays a dual role!
