Under its hood we find a 6-cylinders in line of 3246cm³ developing 343hp, associated with the dual system VANOS and a sequential gearbox with no less than 11 different modes, from the soft to the sport. A version even more exclusive, the M3 CSL (Coupé Sport Light) was commercialized in 2003 with a 6-cylinders of 360hp. It was distinguishable thanks to its carbon roof.
