From the 1959 Mini 850 to the Mini Cooper 1.3 built until 2000, every version in the table uses the chain-driven A-series four-cylinder. Its displacement grows from 848 to 1,275 cc and its output from 34 to 76 hp, the peak reached by the 1,275 cc Mini Cooper S. Fuel is supplied by one or two SU carburettors, then by injection from 1992 on the Rover Mini. Seven versions are listed: find yours by its period and displacement before choosing your parts.
