- 316 from 09/1982 to 08/1988 (engine code M10B18)
- 316i from 08/1988 to 04/1991 (engine code M40B16)
- 318i from 09/1982 to 04/1991 (engine codes M10B18 and M40B18)
- 320i from 08/1985 to 04/1991 (engine code M20B20)

Touring with standard chassis:
- 316i from 08/1991 to 02/1994 (engine code M40B16)
- 318i from 03/1989 to 02/1994 (engine code M40B18)
- 320i from 03/1988 to 02/1991 (engine code M20B20)
- 325i from 03/1988 to 04/1993 (engine code M20B25)
