The Golf 5 is marketed only from 2003 to 2008, it is in tune with the times: the models age faster. This does not prevent it from selling 3.27 million copies all the same!
Its career is marked by the appearance of a new sports version in two modes, the Golf GT. It is equipped with a 1.4TSi petrol unit or a 2.0l Turbo Diesel, both increased to 170hp and less and less fuel-hungry.
Another important evolution of this model, an evolution of the Golf cabriolet which is renamed VW Eos and equipped with a retractable hardtop.
From the 1979 Golf 1 to the Golf 5, nearly 25 million VW Golfs have been sold worldwide!
