Arriving in 2001, the VW Polo 9N, or Polo IV, broke with the previous versions. More imposing, it is the largest in its category. Aesthetically, it is recognizable by its grille equipped with four round optics, which it borrows from its little sister, the Lupo. It is available in 2 bodies, 3 or 5 doors, four trim levels are offered, from the basic version (Polo) to the luxury version (Carat) via a crossover version (Dune) which will remain very little catalog time. This 9N3 polo is marked by the arrival of a GTI version, among the 7 finishes available. This version is equipped with a 1.8 Turbo petrol engine of 150hp. After 8 years of marketing, it was finally replaced by the Polo V in 2009.
