While its condition may be secondary in summer when it's folded, it's a different story for autumn outings when it's unfolded and therefore clearly visible.
The vinyl-type PVC fabric has 2 layers for extra strength.
The black vinyl soft top is suitable for both manual and electric soft tops.
It is delivered unassembled, without frames, headliner or rear window.
In most cases, a soft top needs to be replaced because of signs of aging, wear or tearing of the fabric. Deterioration can also be the result of deliberate action.
These signs of ageing can lead to water infiltration, tarnishing the appearance of your vehicle.
The black vinyl soft top is compatible with Volkswagen Golf mk1 Cabriolet models from 1979 to 1993.
Changing the soft top on your Golf mk1 Cabriolet requires a high level of expertise, and we recommend that you contact a professional upholsterer for removal and replacement.
In addition, the rear window must be cut when the soft top is in its final position (it's advisable to let it work a little before the operation).
Note that it's not uncommon to come across a Cabriolet without a rear window, for reasons of appearance.
