Convertible top metal rod end fitting for Porsche Boxster 986 :

- 986 2.7 Boxster - 228 hp (M96.23) from 2003 to 2004
- 986 3.2 Boxster S - 252 hp (M96.21) from 2000 to 2002
- 986 3.2 Boxster S - 260 hp (M96.24) from 2003 to 2004
- 986 3.2 Boxster S550 - 266 hp (M96.24) from 2003 to 2004

This heavy duty steel tip allows the replacement of the plastic push rod pivot lever bushing of the original part, source of the failure of the tie rod. It avoids the more expensive replacement of the complete rod and makes the assembly more reliable. The piece does not wear and does not break.

Porsche 987 Boxster: Perfectly replaces the originally fragile plastic connecting rod head with this lifetime-guaranteed metal component. The assembly is less deeply embedded in the pushrod than the original head, so you'll need to note this difference and adjust the length of the pushrod using the adjustment screw (you'll need to reduce the pushrod by about 4mm). Don't forget to check the soft-top tension elastics at the same time. Safe driving
