Perfect fit on my 1999 bumper. The plastic rivet is too fragile, so tap it in the center of the head or it will break.

The support is perfect but the 2 fasteners supplied are not sufficient, lack of tightening against the bumper. I'm going to replace them with bolts. No info on assembly. You'll need a tape measure and, if you're on your own, some adhesive tape to position and hold the bracket while you mark the holes to be drilled.

I chose this product because I had the same problem initially, on a used vehicle. This product is very well adapted to the Mazda MX5 2nd generation. On the other hand, I find it very fragile, the plastic being too thin on the sides of the support: it would be a good idea to modify this weak point. Watch out for the person who parks in front of you, as there's a real risk of breaking your license plate bracket when backing up...
