I put this product in with new oil and the result is obvious. Whether it's the MECACYL or the new oil, I honestly don't know. It's a bit expensive if you combine the two, but the end result is nothing special.

MECARUN G anti-noise gearbox and axle - oil treatment 150ml

MECARUN G 150ml is a preventive and curative anti-noise treatment for manual gear boxes and axles. It is compatible with the viscosity grades of all mineral and synthetic oils.
Its technological formula increases thethickness of the oil film, enabling it to adhere to and climb all moving mechanical parts(pinions, bearings, satellites, planetary gears, etc.). When stationary, Mecarun G forms a honeycomb that causes fine drops of oil to cling to metal surfaces. When the sprockets are in motion, Mecarun G makes the oil spin by binding molecules together. This forms an oil belt, preventing splash lubrication problems while reducing noise (hissing, rumbling etc...).

Advantages :
- Reduces wear-induced noise (ideal for older vehicles).
- Prevents splash lubrication problems (upper shafts).
- Protects all moving mechanical parts against wear.
- Maintains lubrication of metal surfaces even when stationary (ideal for prolonged winter shutdowns).

Dosage gearbox and axle: 2 to 5% of oil volume (e.g. 100 ml for 2 liters of oil in 5% dosage).

Directions for use:
- 1 bottle of 150ml treats up to 3 liters of oil (5% dosage).
- We recommend using Mecarun G when changing gearbox oil with new oil.
- Heat the gearbox or axle oil and the bottle of Mecarun G to 40° and mix (immerse the oil can and bottle in very hot water, for example).
- Use a mechanic's syringe to fill the crankcase through the filler hole.
- For engines, we recommend Mecarun P18.
