MOTUL 8100 POWER 5W30 100% syntheticsport motor oil (5 liters) features Ester technology developed in racing , ensuring exceptional oil film resistance at very high temperatures for maximum engine power and torque, as well as excellent protection againstwear. Oil pressure remains stable under all conditions ofuse, whether on the road or inracing conditions(sporty driving on the road or track sessions ).

This top-of-the-range oil (which ranks just below the famous 300V reserved almost exclusively for racing and ultra-high-performance engines) perfectly meets all the most demanding performance and durability requirements, including full compatibility with alternative fuels such as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), CNG (Natural Gas for Vehicles) and Bioethanol up to 85% (Bioethanol - E85).

Direct-injection turbocharged petrol engines present a certain risk of sporadic pre-ignition phenomena in the combustion chambers. This type of abnormal combustion is similar to a sporadic metallic noise coming from the combustion chambers, and is sometimes associated with a short loss of power.
This phenomenon, known as LSPI for "Low Speed Pre-Ignition", or also "Rumble", generates very high pressure peaks in the combustion chamber, which can lead to piston and engine destruction.
For the latest generation of gasoline engines, i.e. downsized, equipped with direct injection systems and turbochargers, API has developed the API SP standard to guarantee the perfect integrity of these engines in the face of the risk of these abnormal combustions.
